Terms and Conditions

We aim to make every booking run smoothly, but it is important that you read and understand the terms and conditions below before booking. By booking a driving test support service with Very Short Notice Ltd, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms.

Definitions:

• “You” refers to the individual named on the booking form as the pupil.
• “We/Us” refers to Very Short Notice Ltd as the booking and administrative service provider.
• “Driving Test Support Service / Short Notice Test Cover” refers to driving lessons, test preparation, and short notice driving test cover arranged through independent instructors.
• “Instructor” refers to a DVSA-approved driving instructor providing driving lessons and test preparation support.

 

• Course Duration and Additional Hours (1)

Each booking includes the agreed hours of driving support, which may include test day support. Additional hours can be arranged directly with the instructor at their local hourly rate. Very Short Notice Ltd is not responsible for additional lessons beyond the original booking. Longer bookings may extend over multiple weeks depending on availability. Completion within a specific timeframe is not guaranteed.

• Transport to Theory Test Centre (2)

Transport to the theory test centre can be provided upon request and will be included within lesson time.

• Eyesight Requirements (3)

All pupils must pass the DVSA eyesight requirement (read a number plate from 20.5m). Failure may result in suspension of the service until resolved. Booked time may be forfeited if requirements are not met.

• Practical Test Readiness (4)

The instructor reserves the right to determine whether the pupil is ready for their driving test. If the pupil is not ready, additional preparation may be required. If the instructor does not permit use of the vehicle for the test, alternative arrangements must be made by the pupil.

• Course Pricing and Test Fees (5)

The booking may include test arrangements where applicable. DVSA test fees are subject to availability and booking conditions.

• Deposits and Refunds (6)

All deposits are non-refundable once an instructor has been allocated. This covers administrative work including scheduling and booking arrangements.

If we are unable to allocate an instructor within a reasonable timeframe, a refund may be considered.

• Course Completion and Forfeiture (7)

Booked hours must be used within 3 months unless otherwise agreed. Failure to use booked time may result in forfeiture of remaining hours.

• Cancellation of Lessons (8)

Cancellations made with less than 7 days’ notice may result in loss of booked hours. Rescheduling is subject to instructor availability.

• Role of Very Short Notice Ltd (9)

Very Short Notice Ltd operates as a booking and administrative service for independent DVSA-approved instructors. These instructors provide driving lessons and driving test support, including short notice test cover.

We do not directly provide driving instruction. Our role is to facilitate bookings and coordination between pupils and instructors.

• Successful Booking (10)

A booking is considered successful once an instructor has been allocated and has made contact with the pupil.

• Instructor Vehicle and Test Use (11)

The instructor reserves the right to decide whether their vehicle may be used for the practical test based on readiness and safety considerations.

• Liability (12)

Very Short Notice Ltd is not responsible for DVSA delays, test cancellations, instructor illness, vehicle issues, or other circumstances beyond our control.

• Governing Law (13)

All contracts are governed by the laws of England, Scotland, and Wales.
